凭着这张专辑成为首位得到台湾金曲奖最佳女演唱人的香港女歌手。

虽然从滚石时期就有在留意Karen的音乐作品，但是一直到[i]这张专辑的推出，才真正喜欢上她。

Karen是个性鲜明，声音辨识度非常高的女歌手。

[i]丰富，多元的音乐性展现出莫文蔚的歌唱实力，让她大放异彩，成为她歌唱事业上重要的代表作品之一。

再次找来了在音乐上与她合作无间的好友李焯雄担任专辑统筹。

郑华娟作曲的《单人房 双人床》属于感情内敛的歌曲，细微的歌词描述对于都市人对于感情的矛盾，想爱却怕受伤害的恐惧。

《爱》营造出古典orchestra的氛围，是一首起承转合分明，戏剧性强烈的歌曲。

歌曲开头Karen以说唱的方式铺成感情，一直到副歌高潮的“有种真爱不是我的”将压抑已久的情绪爆发，完全宣泄出来。《爱》也在同届的金曲奖获得最佳作曲及作词两项大奖的殊荣，可说是实至名归。

融入复古摇滚的《I will be fine》出自擅长快歌舞曲的小安。Karen的动感以及歌声中丰富的表情感染着听歌的人，是一首会让人听得很过瘾，尽兴的歌曲。

找来师兄王力宏助阵，《那可不一定》的funky编曲，有点无厘头的歌词，感觉好玩的成分较多。

喜欢莫文蔚声音上的张力，带点颓废，慵懒的独特口气。

弥漫中东印度氛围的《如果你是李白》要唱出当中的韵味确实不是一件易事，唱不好反而会弄巧成拙，给人突兀的怪感觉。Karen在歌曲中展现出歌姬的架势，游刃有余的表现的确让人惊艳不已。

抒情曲目《你给我多少时间》挟着澎湃的弦乐编曲，Karen丝丝入扣的诠释让人为之动容，在歌曲中出现的每个“Hey”都夹带着不同的情感，有盼望的，有无奈的。个人认为是一首被忽略的好歌之一。

另一首是由黄韻仁作曲的《原罪》。这首抒情摇滚曲风的歌曲充分地凸显Karen在声音上的奔放与张力，对我来说是相当完美的诠释。

在《左岸，右转》里，Karen则冷静，不温不火地诠释出对于感情已经认命的心境，听着歌曲整个人缓缓地被灰暗的氛围感染着，心也跟着揪了起来。

翻唱Carpenters的经典金曲《Close to you》唱出了Karen自己独有的味道，让人陶醉于她的歌声当中，也为专辑化下完美的句点。

希望婚后的莫文蔚能继续带给我们音乐上的享受。

凭着这张专辑再次封为台湾金曲奖最佳国语女歌手（上一回是在2003年凭《i》获得这项殊荣）。也在不久前完成了自己的终身大事，可说是爱情事业两得意。

《宝贝》是续《拉活》后，Karen再次包办整张专辑作曲的部分，展现出她在音乐方面的才华。
若有听过这两张专辑，其实不难发现Karen在歌曲创作上增进不少，歌曲的轮廓，在少了编曲的衬托下，已经很鲜明突出，也比较符合市场的口味。
也找来了在上一张翻唱专辑《回蔚》中与她有密切合作，擦出许多音乐火花的张亚东担任专辑制作人。

Karen以较内敛的诠释方式娓娓道出发生在这个都市里，或许你和我都曾经历过及熟悉的故事。这回编曲也改走较simplistic，踏实的风格，有别于以往歌曲被澎湃或花俏的编曲包裹着。

初次听到专辑同名主打歌《宝贝》就被它打动了。
简单的旋律，贴切真挚的歌词，让人很舒服地沉浸在幸福温暖的氛围里。
另一首抒情主打《艾美丽 爱美丽》，李焯雄巧思的词增强了歌曲记忆性。大家都爱美丽，爱完美，当然人生并非如此顺遂。不过在遇到令人心烦懊恼的事时，其实应该放开胸怀去面对它，所受的伤终究还是会痊愈的。

当初看到歌名时，还以为《洗澡时唱的歌》是首快歌。相反的，它是有点laidback的，仿佛一个人就在自己私密的空间里，无虑地哼着自己喜欢的歌曲，沉淀自己的情绪。
喜欢《完美孤独》的情绪铺陈，Karen以感性的口吻诠释，在字里行间透露出对单身生活的感叹。
两个人在一起必须迁就彼此，一个人时却又害怕孤独，林夕的词确实反应了都市人的心情写照。

接着在《没有围墙的日子》里，与其被烦恼束缚着，不如选择卸下包袱，自在洒脱的度过充实的生活。是一首让人感觉很free，很随性的歌曲。

听着节奏轻快的《耳朵要解渴》就犹如在炎热的夏天喝了消暑的冻饮，极度降温，令人感到舒服畅快。
专辑中的另外两首快歌《独一/无二》与《饮食男女》虽然融入了些许复古舞曲成分，却不失流行指数，非常琅琅上口。
在《独一/无二》里，Karen以旁观者的角度鼓励单身者不必因为感情空窗（李焯雄以感情“独一，无二”来形容单身生活，其实还挺novel的）而感到畏惧，一个人还是可以开心自主地生活。《饮食男女》则反映了另一极端 - 丢掉原则满足欲望，在狂欢后其实人还是空虚落寞的。

清新小品《执子之手》回归到朴实自然的一面，缅怀着过往恋情，快乐的回忆中也挟带着不舍与无奈的心情。
最后《Goodbye》宣告抛下过去，乐观地迎接下一段精彩人生 – 不知这首歌是否也反映了Karen现在的心情？

喜欢滚石时期的Karen。

当时让大家印象深刻的单曲还真的不胜枚举。

“爱情”，“阴天”，“他不爱我”，“没时间”，“爱情真伟大”，“爱自己”等等。

若想一次过收集Karen在滚石发表过的主打歌曲（除了口碑极佳的“十二楼的莫文蔚”专辑之外，因为它是日后发行的），这张精选应该会满足你的需求，以及听歌的渴望。

我个人认为Karen是位非常versatile的歌手，除了声音辨识度颇高之外，诠释不同曲风的歌时也独树一格，just be herself。

快歌与慢歌精选各一张。专辑也录制了两首新歌。

快歌皆机车广告歌曲“Come On Come On光速飞行”不怎么起眼，少了以往感染力。
“盛夏的果实”除了歌名造成谐音的误会之外（起初还以为是“剩下的果实”，让人听了匪夷所思的歌名），没有太多情绪起伏，靠的是她歌声的穿透力，缓缓地侵蚀你脆弱的心灵。

老实说，新歌其实没真的为专辑加分。旧歌还是精选集的主轴，并且成功虏获我的地方。

第一次接触这首歌时就爱上了它。歌曲收入在发行于1997年，首张国语专辑里。
少了花俏的编曲，更能让人陶醉在她难得温柔的歌声当中。

读书时期，因为零用钱有限，所以不常买专辑。
当时从音乐频道的节目，对这位歌手有更深入的了解，喜欢上她独特的嗓音。

不过在滚石时期所发行的专辑，也是我这一两年才到售卖二手光碟的商店一一采购回来的。
最近闲逛时也搜索到这张“I Say 我要说”和“You Can 你可以”专辑。

记得当时曾打算买下这张专辑，因为它汇集了至今还是让我印象深刻的作品。
不知为何日后会打消这个念头。

过了10年，专辑是否已禁不起时间的考验？

未必。

至少在仔细聆听专辑的时候，我是相当享受在她的音乐其中。

在翻开Credits的部分，发现原来在早期，Karen已有李焯雄为她护航，为专辑担任统筹与创意总监这两个重要的职位。
他们的合作默契也延续至近期得奖的作品“拉活L!VE is Karen Mok“。
听得出Karen把自己许多的音乐想法注入在专辑里，玩得尽兴但却也顾及商业考量。

每一首歌曲独有的音乐风格，放在同一张专辑里却意外的相辅相成... 加分！

不过喜欢Karen在这首歌里的诠释，带点颓废的感觉。

This album is definitely one of my favourite albums in 2006. For most, I think the bulky package may put some people off in purchasing this album, as it comes in an box, a bit smaller than A4 size.

4 years since the last release of a Mandarin album, Karen's distinctive vocals remains as the main attraction. Even though, 手 composed by Tanya Chua did not came out as a major hit as compared to the success of 爱, this high quality album would not disappoint her fans considering the long wait for this release.

一个人睡 showcases her techniques and versatility as an award winning female vocalist.
如果没有你 which bares some resemblances to 你给我多少时间, happens to be the most popular karaoke song in this album.
Liked the way she performed 甜美生活 with ease and perfection, and the musical arrangement amplified the uniqueness of her voice.
Overall, this album works on the success formula which she has used in her last 2 Mandarin albums in SonyBMG.

My opinion: Karen really needs some form of breakthrough, planned for the next album.
Hopefully, the next wait will not be that long again.

In fact the breakthrough actually came in her next album... an elevation to composing 90% of the songs in that album. Indeed as predicted... but this form was not exactly what I would expect to come from her.

Was input-ing her previous works into my ipod a few days ago.
Adore her songs... especially during her stay in Rock Records.
Just managed to get hold of a second hand copy of her compilation album released by her former company recently and finally.
Yes, another fruitful treasure-hunting session.

Recollection

Just realise that I haven't been updating this corner of mine for quite some time.

Spent some time recently to listen to some past albums which I have missed out previously or did not catch my attention at that point of time when they were released. Was surprised to find some of them to my liking actually. Again, it proves that some albums should really not be judged by its cover and it's always a enjoyable experience to discover some of the 'hidden' treasures every now and then (at least, it appeals to me)

Anyway, there's nothing worth looking forward to for the next few months, so this is really a great opportunity to start digging those old cds from my drawers to review those earlier works again (a really good excuse to do that).

Should be expecting more reviews to come for the following months, hopefully.

其实犹豫了许久才决定买下这张专辑。

我一直都非常欣赏Karen独特随性的嗓音，不过首播主打<日场夜场>并没成功引起我的注意力。Is funky and retro outlook the theme for this album? That was the first question that came to my mind.

Sad to say that this is really not my cup of tea.

I'm not really dubious of her musicial talents when it comes to composition. Her rather daring decision to release this album came as a surprise and makes me wonder whether is it appropriate at this point in time, especially when her last comeback album in 2006 failed to re-capture the ears of the audiences (as reflected from the sales of the album).

Is it a right move, then?

I do have to agree with the fact that this album will not appeal to majority, especially when we are in an era, suffocated with saccharine sweet, 'bubbly' pop music. In comparison to her previous albums, I think this should be one which you can find the least karaoke-friendly songs... losing out to most exisitng competitors in the current market.

Her amateur position when it comes to musical composition will definitely be outshined by those at the higher end. Therefore, the success of this album all lies down to comprehensive musical arrangement to 'beautify' the songs, and I'm glad to say that the production team managed to accomplish that at least.

The songs came to me as kind of repetitive. The best example(s) to describe this statement would be 隐隐(Lingering) and 台(Stage). Even though it appears that both happen to be songs on the 'high' side and climax of this album, they are still not that strong enough to make it there yet.

Intense oriental flavour in DIVA and rather layback arrangement in 散(Finale). A variety of genres as what you would expect to hear during a live concert. My pick for this album will have to go to 安可(Encore). Adore this tint of jazz and blue, and Karen's vocal performance is the entire highlight for this song. Comfortable and smooth engagement of this song.

Conclusion: Simply listening to her slinky performance just makes this album worthwhile.

Last album? I hope not.
